In an unplanned contest to see whether Claudia or Reese can earn more followers for their "Blurts," social media rears its ugly head. And torso. It's just ugly all the way around, but still funny.

 Book Review:
This is not the series that is going to challenge the depths of your intellect or move your soul, but it is laugh-out-loud funny. Few authors manage to strike believable, modern notes when they alternate viewpoints, but Geoff Rodkey gets Claudia's perfectionism and Reese's laid-back vibe exactly right.

The text is created like a documentary file, featuring artifacts like phone text transcripts embedded into the main narrative. When Reese's interview text is on the page, Claudia has written helpful notations to comment on his version of the story.

The first book's video game episode is absolutely hysterical, and completely relatable for anyone who knows students this age. This series is a win with reluctant and avid readers alike.
