Confetti Girl
|
Book Summary:
Lina is pulling her life together after her mother’s death, but her father escapes into his books, and her best friend is spending more and more time with her new boyfriend. Book Review: There are far too few realistic fiction books with Mexican-American protagonists, although I’ve worked with many students who fit that demographic. Lina is rebellious, a bit quick to overreact, and she nurses grudges, but she still manages to be a character you can root for: she's a scientist, an athlete, and she's trying to make things better.
