The Chez Moi Math Problem-Solving Series
is designed for upper elementary students
to challenge themselves with problems
from various strands of mathematics

Students are encouraged to continue to try solving problems and applying strategies until they reach the correct answer, rather than being given the correct answer immediately after their first attempt to solve each problem.

There are four different problems each week (see links below). Students might use the fifth school day of the week to review answers and problem-solving strategies before submitting all four answers to the teacher, or the students might meet in small groups to compare strategies and solutions for all four questions on the fifth day, or students could work through all the problems at their own pace.

Congratulations! You are the proud owner of a new restaurant called Chez Moi (pronounced Shay Mwa - it's French, because you are fancy like that). Running a cafe requires organization, creativity, and math skills.
